Master’s Degree in Architectural Theory and Design, highest distinction. I understand architecture as a product that delivers real value to a market and to a specific business. That value is measured by the experience and sensations of those who inhabit the project, which directly affects the profitability of the asset for its investors. I iterate and propose alternatives to be evaluated together with each project’s specialist team and investors, generating useful information for decision-making before investment, something that today, with the support of technological tools, can be done with greater precision. That same intersection of engineering, architecture, and technology allows me to optimize construction processes and estimate costs with accuracy. Structural, material, and resource efficiency is not the goal, it’s the means that makes it possible to reach a high level of design, atmosphere, and user experience in every project. I have experience collaborating on hospitality projects for major global chains, including Four Seasons Riviera Maya and Six Senses Xala Chalacatepec in Mexico. In Chile, I have built houses where the design extends down to the furniture, and I have developed masterplans and urban developments using topography and road-layout optimization tools. In the United States, I have collaborated on masterplan design and coordinated construction through BIM tools for large industrial technology projects, across several states. ## Proyectos / Projects ### Patio y Quincho / Patio and Quincho - Vitacura, Santiago · Built, 2025 · 60 m² interior, 140 m² exterior - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/patio-y-quincho/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/patio-and-quincho/ - Renovation and extension of a house in the Townhouses Lo Recabarren development in Vitacura, designed by Izquierdo Lehmann. The house was delivered with a flat patio enclosed by 2.1 m party walls, which ruled out any visible extension above that height. The brief asked for larger social and everyday living areas without altering the development’s overall configuration. ### Parque Huenao - Chiloé · Under construction · 7.2 ha, six lots, 250 m² houses - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/parque-huenao/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/huenao-park/ - Parque Huenao is a territorial planning project that brings together community living, landscape and timber architecture, in Chiloé. The masterplan organises six large lots as autonomous cells, avoiding direct contact between houses to free generous common spaces and cross paths. ### Casa Marita - Santo Domingo, Valparaíso Region · Under construction, 2025 · 220 m² - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/casa-marita/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/casa-marita/ - Casa Marita is conceived as a retreat for its owner and family, facing the Santo Domingo coastline in the Valparaíso Region. The house is organised on two levels: a concrete and steel base, and an upper floor in laminated timber that holds the main programme. ### Muebles / Furniture - Custom furniture · Design and detail - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/muebles-a-medida/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/custom-furniture/ - A custom grill designed together with the space that receives it: a fire table set on rock beneath a steel hood. ### Catamar Fusion - Barra de la Cruz, Oaxaca, Mexico · Farm-to-table restaurant - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/catamar-fusion-oaxaca/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/catamar-fusion-oaxaca/ - Catamar is a farm-to-table restaurant in Barra de la Cruz, Oaxaca, conceived as a large open shelter facing the coast: a timber roof with deep eaves that drops toward the landscape and lets in the breeze, the light and views of the trees and the vegetable garden. ### La Habitación - San Miguel, Chiloé · Preliminary design, 2021 · 110 m² interior, 80 m² exterior - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/la-habitacion/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/la-habitacion/ - Restoration and extension of a house built by Smiljan Radić in 1997 in San Miguel, Chiloé. Abandoned by its former owners, the house had severe structural damage, with a collapsed roof and decaying floors and ceilings. The brief was to rehabilitate the original volume respecting its design and add a programme that lets it serve as a shared space for events or as a guest house. ### Casa Puertecillo - Puertecillo, O’Higgins Region · Project, 2025 · 380 m² - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/casa-puertecillo/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/casa-puertecillo/ - Single-family house in Puertecillo, O’Higgins Region. The brief was to adapt a steeply sloping site to build a family home, creating a system of terraces on which the house volume rests, covered by one large timber roof that unifies the whole. ### Casa Rilan - Rilán, Chiloé · Design, 2025 · 288 m² (two 122 m² houses and quincho) - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/casa-rilan-chiloe/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/casa-rilan-chiloe/ - Casa Rilan proposes two twin 122 m² houses facing the Chiloé sea, in Rilán, joined by a covered central quincho. Each house stands on slender posts to touch the edge of the meadow as lightly as possible, and a broad hipped roof with deep eaves shelters them from the wind and rain of the archipelago. ### Hain Hut - Dawson Island, Tierra del Fuego · Shelter - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/hain-hut/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/hain-hut/ - Hain Hut is a minimal dwelling that reinterprets the constructions of the Selk’nam people. It draws on vernacular traditions to rethink contemporary habitation, aiming at an essential connection with nature and territory. ### Unidad Vecinal Isabel Riquelme / Isabel Riquelme Neighborhood Unit - San Miguel, Santiago · Second place, CAP 2020 student contest - ES: https://jpstudio.cl/proyectos/unidad-vecinal-isabel-riquelme/ - EN: https://jpstudio.cl/en/projects/isabel-riquelme-neighborhood-unit/ - The Isabel Riquelme Neighbourhood Unit is a set of integrated housing that promotes life in sustainable communities. It sits in the Víctor Jara Intercommunal Park in San Miguel and aims to help solve Santiago’s housing deficit and lack of green areas.
